I’m Natalie Jayne, an almost-always-barefoot fine art wedding photographer based in Richmond, Virginia and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a hopeless romantic with a big smile and a big heart for capturing incredible couples across the globe. I believe in capturing relationships in a timeless, romantic way while still having those effortless moments of joy in between. I value experience in life more than anything else, so it’s important to me to have a great experience for my couples. I’m known best for my old soul and I welcome PDA with open arms, so you can be sure that you’re going to get a big hug when we meet.

When I’m not photographing weddings or working from a local coffee shop you can find me hiking in Shenandoah Mountains, volunteering at a local animal shelter, dreaming up my next road trip, working toward my fitness goals, creating a new recipe in the kitchen, exploring Richmond, and traveling around the globe. It’s so important to me to squeeze the most out of everyday, so I strive to spend time with couples who enjoy being barefoot outdoors laughing underneath the warm sun with me.

MY STORY

I started this business with just a dream…

My story began when I was just nineteen years old. I had never even photographed a portrait session before, but I knew what I wanted for my future... so I went for it. It felt like my calling, and I didn’t have to think twice.

After starting my business and completing a science degree, and It was time to get on track for Dental School. I woke up one day in a panic knowing that Dental School wasn’t my calling, so


I had to make a tough decision...

I pushed myself back two years in school for my passion.

I became an art student. After building my business from the ground up while being a full time art student, I am now serving my clients full time with my degree and have been able to apply my education in my business ever since.

I can’t go to a pound without petting every single dog in the building.

I’m a HUGE animal lover. You can often find me at the animal control center here in Richmond for no reason other than to make sure I pet every single dog.

I love a good dad joke.

You hear the frog's car broke down? Yeah, it had to be toad away. What did the buffalo say to his son when he dropped him off at school? "Bison."What do you call a dog that can do magic? A Labracadabrador.

One of my favorite sweets is freeze dried ice cream.

I used to eat only in the privacy in my own home, but now I’m shouting from the rooftops that I LOVE freeze dried ice cream. Yup, space ice cream. Don’t knock it until you try it.

Restaurant hopping is my favorite pastime. 

I work really hard to stay healthy at the gym and at home, but when I’m traveling all bets are off. I invented restaurant hopping since I don’t drink much. Go to a restaurant with your bestie, order your favorite thing on the menu, split it, and onto the next.

I simplify and re-organize something in my apartment almost daily.

I’m Always striving to simplifying my life. Decluttering my life declutters my mind .I believe in Focusing on the small joys in life and what you're going to remember instead of materialistic items or the small things that once overwhelmed my life.
